Welcome to S.T.A.R. Puppy, the perfect place for your puppy to embark on an exciting journey into the world! Our engaging classes are designed not only to be fun but also to provide the essential foundation your puppy needs. Throughout the course, we will cover important basics while emphasizing the significance of socialization and confidence-building. Your puppy will have the opportunity to interact with a wide range of equipment, navigate obstacles, and enjoy various enrichment activities. Plus, after attending all six sessions, you and your puppy will proudly earn their AKC STAR Puppy award!

Available for all puppies ages 8 weeks to 10 months

Discover the benefits of CGC testing, and a pathway to a deeper bond and connection with your dog. By mastering essential skills like sit, down, and stay, your dog can become a welcomed community member in public spaces. This program serves as a prerequisites to many therapy dog certifications and is a fantastic introduction to advanced dog sports and activities. Elevate your dog's training experience and enjoy the rewards of a well-behaved companion!

On our last session, we will take the CGC test to earn your CGC Title!

The Community Canine (CGCA) title is an advanced level of the Canine Good Citizen (CGC) program. To earn this prestigious title, dogs must successfully pass a 10-step test that evaluates their skills in natural settings. This includes demonstrating good manners, reliable recall, and the ability to focus around distractions. The CGCA encourages dogs and handlers to engage in real-world scenarios, showcasing their training and socialization in everyday environments.

Must Have Current CGC Completed

Urban CGC is a comprehensive 10-step test designed to evaluate essential skills within an urban setting. This assessment covers various aspects such as navigating through traffic, crossing streets, and safely entering and exiting cars. Each step is crucial in ensuring individuals are able to handle the unique challenges of urban living. By participating in the Urban CGG, you can enhance your skills and foster a safer environment in public environments

Classes take place at a dog-friendly, public, outdoors  establishment. At our last session, we will take the CGCU test to earn your CGCU Title.

Testing ONLY is available for all levels. A $15 evaluation fee is collected if you pass!
